Liberty to HHR for a couple mpg?? OK. Bet it sucks to trade in a diesel right now with it over $4 a gallon. Must have walked in that place backwards! Hope it treats you well.

Jeep didn't even want to talk. Chevy gave me a good deal. 3k more than kelly blue book. and what edmunds.com said it was worth. + 8-10 MPG is more than a couple. I was getting 22-24 on my CRD and getting 30-33 on my HHR. So you do the math at 80 cents a gal diffrence which one would you rather do? And its a Chevy have never had a problem with them in my past. Jeep would not stand behind the crap they sold me so I am better off now.

I agree, The CRD is CRAP and JEEP was CRAP for not standing behind it with real solutions. That’s exactly why I traded my CRD in for a gasser. Now that the aftermarket and the CRD nuts on this forum have met the challenges, there are solutions to all the CRD problems. If I could do it all over again, I would have kept my CRD. If Mopar comes out with this diesel swap kit for the Wrangler, then I will be going that route to get my Jeep diesel fix. I’ve been a Chevy man most of my life, and I have nothing negative to report about Chevy. Chevy makes great products and I understand your trade in completely.

It is apparent to me that not everyone gets the phrase "it's a diesel thing". If diesel was twice the price of gas I would not be looking to sell out. I really enjoy this truck and am thankful that DC decided to release the few they did to us. The cost to solve the problems seem minimal when compared to doing a total conversion of an existing vehicle. The guys on this forum know this vehicle inside and out and I am confident that there is not a problem that they can't help get answered. Usually, the most econmical answer to the problem is easily available just by asking. I don't like paying the current price of diesel fuel but to sell my truck; not a chance! It's a diesel thing.

KJMedic - Sorry to see your CRD go. I was hoping to hook up on the trails one day. Bummer. I'm glad the HHR is serving you well though. I've seen some really nice custom jobs on the new HHR Panel. That little truckster has some potential!

I just have to say, that thing is HOT! But I would love if I could get the TDI in the VW EOS...

Now that would be a nice little driveway filler right there...
