I understand that, but has anyone besides him, with a normal lift had a Gen. 4 break at the weld?

Not that I am aware of,2 sets of GENII's broke(Mutt's and USAFCOP's) but where wheeled extremely hard.I'm running GENII's still and they have been holding up great.

Ummm, I just got my Gen5s in now I have to make time to tear apart my rig and get them things in. Oh an the reason just for a little info is that my upper ball joint on the drivers side is pretty much worn out and loose as a goose. Figure might as well do it right:)

Make sure you grease the ball joint regularly. We grease ours on our HMMWV's every month even if the vehicle didn't move an inch, its strange how those ball joints will suck up grease like a fish. But there's nothing better once their lubed up.

A little bit off topic here but noticed something a little strange the other day. The newest batch of Humvee's were getting are coming with different tires. Goodyear used to hold the contract but it since has switched to BF Goodrich and the tires look awesome. I'll have to take a picture and put it up, still the same strange dimention tire 37x12.5 with a 16.5" rim.

Just installed mine today! Happy Birthday to me a few weeks early.

A little tip for those who are installing these, put a piece of tape over the hole in the frame at the rear bolt....the nuts will drop right in! That cost me 45 minutes and a nut. Luckily we had a spare nut!

I forgot to get a picture of the New BFGoodrich's, been busy all week but I'll get one this next week. But I emailed Marlin at Jeepinbyal's asking about the 6" lift and it might be close to becoming a reality as he is working on an install on one right now. Hopefully he can work it out so I can slap that on in June!

Just put my Gen 5's on today. Is anyone else having issues with the front part of the arm hitting the top of the a-arm pocket when the spring compresses? Mine won't get any where the factory bump stop and before it would hit them without any issues.

I'm up 4" or better and haven't had an issue but I haven't been off road yet. Next month I'm going to take it to the Off-Road Park to give it a try.

I would think you could request Gen. 4 arms. I just looked at mine the front of the Gen.5 "A" arm isn't centered like the rear and is closer to the top of the pocket. I have 450# springs so I'll have to see if it touches wheelin'. Joe

I just put them on mine with 5.5 inchs of lift and the gen 5's seem to keep the ball joint at a much better angle than the gen 4s did also the gen 4s i had broke at the weld.. I just wish they made some arms for a kj with 6inchs of lift to push the bal joint away from the coiul spring. its close and when im extended in the front it touchs the coil spring. but the new gen 5s i must say are much stonger and more durable than the gen 4s. you can tell just looking at them
