Rear Diff Identification

How can I tell what rear differential is on my KJ, 35 or 8-1/4? I am goning to be changing the fluid soon and need to know how much fluid to buy.

i believe if it is kinda squared at the bottom it is the 8.25, the other is rounded

also, there should be an indentification tag around the axle tube...usually on the drivers side

Ahh, thats the thread where I thought you had the 35. I edited it to keep down confusion.

Thanks. Mine looks squared on the bottom, so I am going to assume, based on the thread listed above that it is an 8.25.

Ahh, thats the thread where I thought you had the 35. I edited it to keep down confusion.
