as long as the plate is not completely obstructed, or just have the top part of the jack on that side if the bumper you will be okay. In KY you can't completely obstruct the plate, but in some case it is okay like when you are pulling a trailer and the it covers or blocks direct view of the plate.

Woody and Jeep4me

I like where this is going. I think I can try to make something happen.
I am as well gonna go to a friends house to see if we can work something.

BTW, NEW YORK anything covering a plate front or back is a no no.

but, yah, let keep some ideas flowing between us. I idea i have for a vertical mount will eliminate the worries woody has about putting too much stress on the spare tire carrier itself.

I have a front hitch and I bought a front hitch skid plate, drilled holes and used bolts and a lock to hold the Hi-lift on. Sat right on the front with no issues.

You can have your chinese knock off. I don't plan to use my Hi-Lift because I do not plan to get stuck. But when or if I do I want to know it will do as i expect it to do.

You get what you pay for.
