did you have to press the the ball in the arm.. with the washer above the arm it snugged up good.. but with the washer on top of the castle nut it seems like it needs to be pushed in ( i have it tight and there is still some room between ball joint and upper arm ) probably worded that wrong .. anyone

The washer should go between the nut and the knuckle.

You do not need to press the joint into the arm. Torque the nut to 60ft lbs.

well i couldn't get it to go up all the way with the washer.. i tightened it as much as i could and still wasn't close to getting the pin through the nut.. so i took out the washer.. and bolted it up with no washer for the time being.. any reason the tapered end wouldnt go all the way in? i figured i would put the wheels on it and let it sit to see if the tapered joint would go in more. if it does ill pull the wheels and install the washer..

Can you snap a pic of it? Odd that the joint wont go all the way into the knuckle.

try putting a jack under the LCA and pushing everything up a bit, that may make it easier to get it all on. If your suspension is fully flexed and the a-arm is hitting the pocket it may make it tough to get on.............just a shot.

did you try putting a pry bar into the spring itself and prying down on the upper control arm, that always does it for me
