Great pics there Jon, Thanks for posting them, looks like a nice place (except for that one big old mud hole!) Are you going back out tomorrow? And nothing broke for anyone? Did better than the guys that went to the Badlands then!

yep going back tomorrow. the only break was the little wire that holds up my swaybar  a couple cable ties, courtesy of nick, fixed that right up.

although i gotta tell you, every time i go out wheeling i am insanely paranoid about all the sounds my jeep makes! i think i need to tighten some bolts perhaps...

I blew something today after you left Jon. I've got no front wheel drive what so ever. The passengerside axle is loose and clicking. Not sure if I sheared splines in the carrier or what at this point.

oh man... all the breakage happens after i leave! for all the spectators out there, one of the guys with a tj toasted his clutch after i left yesterday, and now nick goes and breaks...something.. again after i leave. sorry to hear about this man. almost made it through the whole weekend...

so what happened? wheel spin? too much gas?

well, mines a lot more minor, but i have some grease on my passenger ubj. what was that liquid rubber stuff called again?

did you tear the rubber boot on the upper Jon or ?? They make some stuff that is liquid that you can put on electrical parts to seal them, I think thats what Nick got. Too bad about him breaking and here you take off and leave him   So what else , burnt clutch, upper ball joint boot, Nicks problems, swpthng down on the other side of the state and being hauled home, what else happened over the weekend ???? :? :? :? But then if something doesnt break youre not having enough fun!!!

yeah, i guess the boots torn... i couldnt actually find a hole, but there was definitely grease on it. i think ive been having some spring contact for a while now, so that probably had something to do with it. very often when my front wheels drop off of something sort of abruptly i get a pretty good clunk. so that either spring contact or loose bolts. i get the clunk at times when im pretty certain that its not anywhere near full droop though, such as going over smaller rocks that you kind of bump over.

Jon it's called liquid tape at Wal-Mart in the auto section.

Time to leave your disco ducks on and quit drooping so much.

Jon, post up the shooting range pics. I got to fire a full auto yesterday, and today Dales friends were banging 50 Cal's after you left. Totally awesome, you could feel the muzzle blast 20 ft. away. :!:

I droped my 2 rolls of film off to get put on disks and will get them Monday.

Oh, and that's a class A stuck there Dave. Don't feel bad, Kelly had to winch me out today when I lost my front wheel drive in a mud hole.

Got it up on 4 jackstands today, started it up, put it in 4wd, the front driverside tire spins until I put my foot against it and stops it. The passenger side axle turns and clicks, but the tire doesn't spin, CV gone. The drive shaft has power from the T-case and is spinning, so the problem has to be with the axles, and or, the True Trac carrier I would think.

Want to come over and tear it all apart for extra practice.

$72.00 ea. at Napa for rebuilt axles or $315.00 ea. for Jeepin Al's shaved axles. May as well do new bearings, seals, and I still have my stock carrier if needed.
