Hi all, I am a new member here and the wealth of information here is incredible. This is a great liberty community. Well I recently got a 2005 limited liberty to go with my modified 2002 Wrangler. And of course, it has to be modified, right? 8)

The lift is an OME with Heavy Duty springs and long travel OME shocks and struts.

So here is the before:

Image

And now the after! :D

The lift is advertised as a 1.5" lift, but I got 2" in the front and 2.25" of lift in the rear. I may do the clevis lift to level it out a little bit, but for now it looks great to me! I did not do the install myself, but the installer said it went on real nice. The ride is excellent, the suspension really adsorbs the bumps and potholes better than it did stock and in the corners the vehicle feels much more stable and controlled. I have seen alot of discussion about the ride quality of the H/D springs, but my two cents is that they ride great and I would recommend the H/D's to anyone.

Next is new tires which will get put on this week. Stock tires are 235/65/17 (29") and I am going with Firestone Destination A/T's at 235/75/17 (30.9"). I will give a report on how these fit soon. I know there isn't too many out there putting bigger tires on 17's, but after looking at the clearance of the lift, these new tires should fit great without modification to the pinch weld, (keeping fingers crossed).

I am also very impressed with the fit and finish of the ARB bumper. It was shipped in a powdercoated grey finish and I had a local shop paint it to match. It will provide great protection from the cursed deer that are all over the place and it looks good too

The liberty already has all the factory skid plates underneath, so it might go wheeling this summer, that is if I can convince the wife :o

Thanks for allowing me to share. Take care all.

and now here it is with the new tires!

They do rub alittle bit, but I haven't had a chance to flex it out yet.

Welcome!
Dang nice collection of Jeeps ya got there! :D
The After shots are sweet. The more I see Libertys w/ chrome grilles, the more I like them. I am adding a chrome grill to my long mod list....might take a while to get one but I am leaning that direction...... My ugly KJ needs a little Bling. 8)

Looking great! I like the colour-matched ARB look. After the tires, what's next? Got any more pics of that old Willys?

Oops, I suppose I put this in the wrong forum, sorry.

Thanks all for the replies, I did alot of research and searching on this site to come up with this setup. A big thanks to the forum again!

I really wanted to keep the KJ looking clean, as it will be our main DD and traveling vehicle, plus gotta keep the better half happy!

The sliders may have to wait for a while, I spent enough on the KJ and the add ons, but I will definitely be keeping the sliders in mind for the future!

And for those that asked, here are a few more shots of the willys. Right now the tub is off the frame waiting for time and money to complete a full restoration. But I do have a great place to start with as the engine almost runs, (needs new fuel system) and there is very little rust on the body.

Thanks again
