I finally got the Liberty Back after 8 weeks at the Body Shop and fights with Progressive Insurance. On my way home from the Body Shop on Friday I stopped and had a Flowmaster Super 44 muffler installed. The muffler was purchased at Jegs for 82.99 plus tax (I live in Columbus Ohio and they have 3 retail stores here) and Tuffy Muffler charged me 60 bucks to hang it.

The sound is great it has a nice low rumble and when you step on it, it gets nice and loud. At freeway speeds I notice just a small bit of noise in the cabin, nuthing bad at all. Matter of fact I like interior noise, its nice to be able to hear old girl run...

My dad has a body shop and we're a direct repair for most large insurance companies.. and Progressive is THE WORST company to deal with... hands down. .. i love my flowmaster muffler.. plus it doubles as a skid plate :)

I saw you driving on campus last week, approaching a stop light. a) dam your KJ looks sick, very nice. b) the muffler sounds awesome. i could hear it burbling down from a decent distance away

Just curious. What were your fights with Progressive Insurance about?

i have progressive, i am hearing a lot of bad things about them, makes me wonder if i should switch to allstate or state farm or something else.

i really want to get an exhaust for my jeep, but still not sure what muffler i want, magnaflow, flowmaster 50, flowmaster 44, or even the edelbrock muffler since nobody on here has tried it yet, hmmm, im leaning towards an edelbrock

I'm starting to wonder. I am a Progressive customer also.

I've been with State Farm for several years. my policy is AWESOME...two free windshields a year, $250 deductable, for a very reasonable premium 8)

you got a K&N to go with that muffler? Im wondering if the combo of the too might give the car a bit more bite and not sacrifice any gas mileage

I was going to get a K&N but they aren't worth the price for me. Not enough benefits for the price tag. Just my opinion and I know others that love theirs and swear by them. I used to run one in my old TJ and it was nice but I never saw any gains in anything. Maybe mine was an exception to the rule, but I just feel there are way too many other things I rather drop over $200 on than my air intake. Just my 2 cents.

When I switched from Progressive to Erie Insurance, I literally saved $1000/year. No kidding!!!!! And get this, my wife is a Progressive HR director...no savings at all for employees. In fact, she has told me on numerous occasions that from the top Execs down, many of them have other insurance carriers than Progressive....whats that tell ya. they are not BAD insurance, but they are among the priciest.

As for State Farm...I have the opposite story. Some years ago (maybe 15) I had them and my car was broken into twice. Both times, the driver window was smashed out and one time, CDs were stolen and another time, they tried to get the radio but couldn't get it out and basically trashed it. State Farm paid both claims to get fixed then promptly dropped me!!!! I was never even the cause of the claims, never had tickets or other claims...EVER! They told me, too many claims in the same year and said see ya!!!

Now I laugh every time they send me a letter asking for me to join up again. I think to myself...not in a million years you rat sensored word!!!!

I have had Progessive and State Farm,
State Farm dropped me like Pote due my truck being hit twice in a year in parking lots, said I was a bad risk :? :?
Progessive was a pain to work with when my Harley was stolen out of my locked garage . They said I should not of parked it there   took them over 2 months to even send a letter that I was going to get anything. By that time I had found the bike through some friends in Cleveland (will not mention the CLUB name, HA ) and I went and stole it back. But Progessive would not continue providing insurance on it, .......due to it being a stolen bike!

I use Country Financial Insurance and they have been great. Use them for my auto and homeowner's ins. and they are a pretty good company. We've filed a few claims and they handled them quickly and we never really had to do anything but answer a few questions. Pretty nice. :)
