No way I can swing it unless it is a BIG discount. Dropped more than a lot on a lift, wheels, tires, hitch, receiver shackle, and CO2 system all in less than a month. Wife had to reel me in.

I'm going to put my name down but we do run into a fundamental supply vs. demand problem. When someone has the market cornered what is their incentive to give a discount on something they know we will buy anyways? Maybe they are nicer than I am.... in case not I have my $400 ready

Are you going to request Gen 4’s or Gen 5’s? Some people noted that there might be minor problems with the new design of the Gen 5’s. I’m not saying it’s true, just stating what others have said and keeping everyone informed. I already have the Gen 4’s. :D

Someone noted that the Gen. 5’s were rubbing when the spring compresses. Also the Gen. 5’s do not have the moogs.

I was told that you could probably order the Gen 4's if requested.

Man, that stinks. Do anyone know if the gen. 5s will be fixed or will there be gen. 6s to replace the 5s that are no good, or just back to the 4s?

I’m not saying that the Gen 5’s are not good. They might be great for 4” lifts and higher. I’m just saying that there has been a few concerns for those who are compressing their springs. I would definitely talk to someone who is running your type of lift and testing the new gen. 5’s off-road. Someone who has an aftermarket front and rear bumper and winches are going to be compressing their springs much more than someone who is running stock bumpers. The new type of ball joints just need to be greased more often. To be honest, I have the Gen. 4’s setting here in the box waiting to be installed. If I thought the Gen 5’s were going to be a better overall product for my application, then I would exchange them for the newer Gen. 5’s. So far, I’m not hearing that type of feedback. So I think I will stick with the Gen 4’s as they have been proven very trail worthy.

I'm not running aftermarket bumpers or 4" or more of lift so the 5 s might work, but all things considered I'd order gen. 4s if we could get a crazy good group discount. Go with proven performance instead of some questionable issues here and there. Better safe than sorry. It would be nice to hear from someone running the 5s.

I know they really cannot mark stuff down too much. They get it at a certain price and can not loose money on it. I was just seeing if we get enough people together and buy at 1 time, maybe we can get a few bucks off or at least free shipping. I am not looking for a 40% discount here.

Also if we keep doing group buys with the same vendors, in the future maybe they will work with us on other group buys.

It is worth a shot!
