  Thay had one of the local dealers on the news last night talking about this, and he was saying what a great deal it was etc etc and then when they asked if there were any limitations on the usage as far as amounts of gas you could buy or how many miles he did the big stutter! Said there wasn't any fine print but people were limited per year on mileage??? He also stated that he knew as soon as the word got out that they would be super busy so urged people to come early!!  what a line of...............

So how much will this save you? Chrysler limits you to the total amount of fuel that can be bought at the locked-in price will be computed on the basis of the new vehicle's federal miles-per-gallon rating and 12,000 miles of driving a year. The card is good for purchases of 87-octane regular gasoline, E85 gas-ethanol blend or diesel fuel.

Actual savings depend on what happens to gas prices during the next three years, but based on the average price of $3.61 a gallon in Detroit as reported Monday by AAA Michigan, someone buying a 2008 Dodge Durango four-wheel-drive SUV with a 5.7-liter V-8 engine would save about $414 per year.

Brilliant marketing by Chrysler, but as usual, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

For the people who are already going to purchase a Chrysler vehicle, this is just an added bonus. I would gladly accept 3,4,5 hundred of Chrysler's dollars. Looks like I purchased my Jeep 1 year too early.

Actually I think its all set up by the FBI or CIA  to track where you go, track each time you buy gas, plus they will know how far you travelled from home how long you will be there and what mileage you got, just anther attempt in which the government is going to control our lives

not to hijack, but the analyst who came out two years ago when gas was hovering around $2 per gallon and said gas would be near $4 per gallon in 07/08 just came out with his new prediction. He states that we can expect gas to be $8-10 per gallon by the end of 09/2010!

People shot him outta the water when he predicted $4 gas prices and laughed at him and said he's nuts....now this...good grief. I'll have to look up his name...he's some kind of big whig gas company analyst. sucks to hear that....and IS hard to imagine. They better get refining in North Dakota on those 450 billion barrels they expect out of there.

$10/gallon gas might be reality *if* you factor in hyperinflation of the American dollar.

But then there are other American companies in position to take advantage of high oil prices ...
