Finally got everything put together last night. I love this HU, the sound quality is amazing and does wonders for the stock speakers, they almost sound like aftermarket. I've decided the next to go is the component speakers. I was going to do the sub next but with the bass I'm getting out of just the stock stuff I'm afraid if I get the sub first I'll drown out all my highs and mids. So door speakers to come in about a month or so.

New HU:

Bad pic but the ipod syncs itself to the HU when plugged in, if you look you can see the Pioneer brand on the Pod

Ran the cable to the glove box:

And a quick vid going through some functions. The quality is horrible but you get the idea.

Same as you pretty much I've got the P600ub so it's the same thing but the premier version. As far as I know the only real difference is yours is silver where mine is black and the display is organic instead of lines. Also mine has a 2 year warranty, so all in all they are essentially the same. ;)

out of couriousity i checked their web site. display is the same. you can turn off the sub amp if you want and has an extra year on the warranty. well good luck with it. i just installed mine last weak and love the improve sound over the stock system. heres where a pic of mine is

Sweet, I don't know where I came up with the display being different. So basically if you run the remote gain for the amp then there's no need for the in unit on/off. I really enjoy it so far and it seems to have plenty of power for the components. THIS is probably what will be in the doors in a few weeks.

I've always been a fan of pioneer, every thing's always nice and clean out of their products. The head unit itself is awesome and you can adjust anything and everything you can think of. Personal choice but between the two you've mentioned it's a no brainer for me. I've never liked pyle and what I've had in the past I've never seen very good quality in their product. It's been a while since I've seen anything pyle though so maybe things have changed.

Nice job on the trimming on the side of the bumper. I cut my bumper straight back there, but I think the angle you cut to match the profile of the bumper is perfect.

Thank you, I didn't really want to go up and back like some I had seen so I tried to keep everything in line the best I could.

Looks good! Ive been toying with the idea of getting another pioneer HU but I dont think I will. My current pioneer is working fine but its around 3 years old.

I wouldnt worry about drowning out the mids and highs unless you get insane subs. Ive got the stock Infinity system and it sounds great with my MTX 12" sub. I cut the speakers off at 80 HZ so they do not get any lows, lets me turn it up alot louder with getting distortion from them.
