I'm pricing out new tires (my big mod for the summer lol). I'm shooting for the B.F. Goodrich All Terrain. I figure keep the size stock 235/70/16. Any opinions on these guys? They are not cheap, so please speak up if I should stay away! I was originally looking at the Duler A/T Revo's, but decided these were a bit more fitting since they were a bit more aggressive, and have better reviews (from what I have seen).

There's a bizzillion threads down in the tires section on the BFG's. They are a great tire, but man - there are plenty of other choices out there.

Before there are recommendations made: What type of driving do you do?

BFGs you are paying for the name more than anything , also you can go up to a 245-70X16 without any problems, little bit bigger. Firestone Destination is a good tire for the price The ones I am running now do great and are very affordable, lots of great tire choices out there, do some more reading and asking around

I had the BFG AT/KO's on my KJ 225/75/16. after I lifted it I went to the firestone destination at 245/75

I love the BFG at's but they are a super heavy tire and that added extra weight will hurt your gas.

The firestone I have now is bigger and also lighter. I get better gas now with the new tires.

Agressive I love, but better gas is better rite now.

My tires now are pretty freaking awsome. I have been though deep mud, heavy rain and never lost grip.

The BFG are great AT tires, but they cost a ton more than an equally good tire will cost you and there are tons of tires out there. But if you have to have the BFG, it is a good tire that will work on road and off, but not for really aggressive off roading.

I do a lot of city and highway, probably well over 50%. I do enjoy a good trail though.

you're also in snow country - there have been a lot of really good reports on the Nokian's
I haven't tried them (we get snow once every 6-7 years) but the guys up in Ohio - NewYork regions have been real impressed.

In April I picked up 5 Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo UNI-T AQ II thru Tirerack. I have about 800 miles in them and I have done a little off roading and they perform well. I had Cooper Discover ATR's before wish I had spent the extra cash on the Bridgestones originally. I picked mine up for $128.00 ea, but just looked & it jumped to $155.00. Even with the increase I think they are worth it.

I'm still leaning towards the B.F. Goodrich. I did some searching on hear and found most people absolutely love them. I also learned that I can get 245/70/16 and have no rubbing :) I don't know if I will actually make the jump but the option is there. One thing that keeps me coming back to these tires is they are rated for heavy snow and ice, and since I live in Canada, this is definitely a important thing. This started out as me needing winter tires, but then I was shown these tires that would be a great winter tire, as well as a great off road tire, and a great highway tire. So far the only things I have heard bad is from the 1 post I read here about the gas mileage... Also, I can get them for about the same as the duler, if not cheaper. I really want a agressive looking tire. If it wasnt for the highway performance of the bfg mt tires, I would want them, but I really need a all around tire.

Yeap, only on the tiny ones. Figures. For 4x 245/75/16 out the door is 892.96. I am gonna have to see what Discount can do for me. I am taking in both the KJ and my wifes Rav4, 10 tires total....you would think they would deal a little. ...or so I hope, lol.

Nokian Vatiiva AT hands down. just a great tire. I will be buying them again and again. On the highway they are smooth as butter, not ultra heavy, and look really agressive with siping that can't be touched by any other AT....look into them. ;)

I love the look. I think they are a killer tire, but I have heard they are absolutely horrid for highway driving. I'm pretty much sold on the bfg all terrain ta ko in either 235/70/16 or 245/70/16, depending on the cost :) Right now I am looking at $850 for the 235's installed.
