Has anyone swapped the drivers and passengers seat. My seat is kinda wearing, and I rarely have a passenger, so that one is alot better. Can I just take them off the sliders and swap them around? Or will the recliner handle and seatbelt thingy not be able to be chnged around. (my seats are manual)

take them out completly, and fab up the rear seat to be a front bench. :D
Then do the rear seat delete thing that every one else is doing.
great Idea.

Your Jeep is only 5 years old and the seat sees wear? I think you really need seat covers.

Don't think you can. Your back adjustment lever, and seat belt buckle would be on the wrong side. You've also got the electronics of the seat belt dinger, and the air bag cut off on the passenger side.

Find a junk yard and pick one up on the cheap. I've seen a pair of front seats go unsold on Ebay at $75.00. Beware the 05+ seats, they're uncomfortable as hell.

well there is no wear in the fabric....just the cushion is really used, so it doesn't offer the support it used to.

I took out the manual seats in my wife's KJ and it's got a little wire harness for quick disconnect that won't give you any problem. However the seatbelt latch and backrest adjustment lever will give you problems. I think you're better off with replacement seat.

You should be able to take just the seat(the cushion) off and swap them without swapping the entire seat.

Ive never done it but they should be the same.

The seat itself should be swappable. All of the other gadgets and bits are attached to the seat frame.

If you take the seat out of the Jeep and have a look - it is possible. I've not done it, but it looks possible.

The L/R seats in a KJ are not interchangeable from side to side, one of the mounting brackets is welded to the seat frame. You can buy new seat cushions, but be prepaired to pay some big $$$$,there not cheap.

Talk to an upholstery place, maybe they can fix the cushioning.
