wow only parts they must have a nice mark up going! I was going to say first not bad cause I thought it would be parts and labor !!! Start asking around your 4 wheel club there on who does their work. Of course I was quoted one place 800 for the rear axle installation, parts etc, when I told them I would have all the parts they said Oh well 240 labor (rear only)

With a tire that much bigger over stock, how many more rpms would be be turning at hw speeds? I wouldnt think it would be that much.

You may be able to calculate the rpm's here: http://www.f-body.org/gears/

If you stay with your present tires at 31.7s tall and go to 4.10s you will be real close to what it was stock with a 29 inch tire and 3.73s, but yes if you go back to the 29 inch tire and 4.10s you will be running much higher RPM out on the open road would be close to 400/450 or so RPMs more just calculating in my feeble mind

5th post

without over drive calculated in
3.73 gear ratio
29 inch tire 2809 rpm
30- 2715
31- 2628
32- 2546

4.10s
29- 3095
30- 2992
31- 2896
32- 2805

Here is a much better gear calculator, you can enter your own #'s or they have many different trannies and t-cases to choose from.It also gives you rpm #'s in certian gears at certian speeds also.Gives crawl ratio also.

No you need to find the revolutions per mile of your tires and take that into the dealer for the pinion reset.

Look on the Interco web site or call them and ask what are the rev's per mile for your tires, they'll know.
