I've done a search but didn't find anything directly having to do with the power windows on Libertys.

The question. Is there something that can be done for the NEVER ENDING power window failures my wife is having with her Liberty? All but the passenger side front window has gone out and now the driver side rear window has gone out again.

Any help to this question will be GREATLY appreciated.

HA HA HA HA

Sounds about right. Course the ones in the back rarely get rolled down.

Anyway, it's a 2006 CRD.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was guessing that there wasn't a REAL fix for it, just replace the part with another screwed up part. I'm sure the Mrs is just going to love to hear this.

Luckily I have not had this issue. However, one of the ladies in my office has a 2003 KJ Sport and has gone through 5 of the darn things. She just keeps taking it back although her warranty is out so the last...2 I think were from the scrap yard. Might be time to get down and dirty and design a metal version.

the 06's got a new regulator much cheaper. the older style OEM regulators are 210 dollars new from Mopar. they pinched the pennies sometime in 06 and dropped the price to 60 dollars. I just replaced my drivers side last week.

HAHAHAHA Window failures! I've had 3 in the last year. Only one actually broke while I was using it. The others just fell down while driving down the road.

Everyone I know, in person (7), that had a liberty has had at least one fall down. I'm starting to think it isn't as "rare" as everyone tries to say it is.

I've spent more money on windows in the libby than I did on anything in my cherokee the entire time I owned it!

eh, I also noticed you are an AZ person. Try keeping the car inthe garage or some place out of the sun? I'm thinking the plastic weakens when exposed to the extreme temps here. Mine is a Phoenix jeep too. all the people I know who have problems live in the AZ deserts too.

Same for me -- 3 in AZ. The driver's window is the only one that hasn't failed. (knock wood)

None for me but we did have a 99 Cherokee with one.

Does anyone have a pic of a broken regulator? I plan on fixing mine if the time ever comes but idk whats breaking. If its just that plastic tube Ill find some better tubing and fix it myself.

Hmm, I've had my '03 here in the Valley for 3 1/2 years with no problems. Guess I'm just lucky :)

hmmmm I wonder if you are onto something with the heat and the plastic. The sun never hits that specific part but I could totally see the heat warping it.

Maybe you are lucky. Or maybe most of the reject Jeeps were sent to AZ

Heat, is your jeep under warranty?
