Hi guys, I'm looking for a set of stock steel wheels from a Liberty. Either these - http://www.autoguide.net/apf/jeep-wheel ... 59f79.html or these - http://www.autoguide.net/apf/jeep-wheel ... 60f79.html.

Why you ask? Because I'm doing a budget lift and can't afford to spend the cash on wheels. :) My plan is to paint them flat black and mount a set of MTR's. I posted a thread in another section about different steel wheels that might fit but it looks like TJ wheels won't fit without adaptors so I'm back at spending more money...

If you've upgraded your wheels/tires and have a set laying around I'd love to buy them off you!

Thanks! PM me if you have a set..

, Jason

heres what you do:
1. go to SUMMIT RACING's website and order you a nice set of 15x8 cragars with a 4"BS
2. then order you a nice set of SS TSL radials

all 8 of these items are gonna be cheaper then probably the sockies with the MTR's, imo

Those rims you selected are ~$65 each. You'll probably end up buying them from someone for ~$40 each. Then, to paint them (properly), you'll need to sand, prime, then paint a few coats...probably $30 - $40 in paint and whatnot. Why not spend the same amount and pick up a set of Cragars (Soft 8's, 5V's, etc). Same bolt pattern, black, better backspacing, and basically the exact same price as you'll end up shelling out anyway.

Yeah, w/ cost + shipping and materials to make them look pretty you could have a set of black rock crawlers.

rangerd, your truck looks and sits VERY NICE... This is was I was trying to avoid. My disco has 37's, rull cage, front and rear winches, etc.... I see myself slowly building the KJ and I promised myself I wouldn't. :| First it's wheels tires and a lift. Then it's sliders, then winch....sigh. I'm going to be broke forever. I guess I should just buy the Cragars and be done with it.

I am still confused as to why you want to replace your wheels you have now.
Is there a problem with them? are you looking at having 2 sets of wheels and tires?

It just seems like a lot of trouble to try to get new wheels when you have 5 right there at home

Ahh, yes. I want to keep the stock set to drive in town to and from work. I just need a set so when we go camping/hiking/climbing I can get to the destinations. My Discovery isn't really streetable so the Liberty has to be able to get us there. Minimum lift with some 30" and a winch is really all it will get. Maybe some interior stuff but it's going to be pretty simple.
