A co-worker of mine has a 2004 KJ Sport and she has had the worst luck with her back drivers side window. The never really use it and they have had to replace the gear(s) 4 times. Yesterday she came to work parked the KJ and by 5pm the back window dropped about 3" and is still down now. When she tries to raise it it makes a screeching noise...any ideas what she can do to fit it once and for all. She is getting tired of paying the $50 deductible to fix it?

I had problems with the same window"only".It was the window regulator.
Don't know where it is located, got it fixed under warranty.
Good luck...

I personally have not see the part. It probably is the regulator knowing them. They say that they replace a larger part and it is all metal except for this one spot and that is what seems to melt in the high heat of our Vegas summers which in turn causes the window to drop.

I'd suggest your co-worker visit a different dealership. The one they're visiting doesn't seem to know how to fix the problem properly. I've known other people who have difficulties with a particular dealership, the mechanics simply aren't good.

If the problem continues then by all means escalate the matter, write a letter directly to Mopar detailing the problem. Maybe they'll give them a free JK for compensation

I know she is partial to that dealership because an ex-coworker of hers has a husband that works there. I personally hate the dealership. I have tried several times to do business with them and each time I walk away with the same feeling. THEY SUCK! I even met the owner who is a friend of the family and when I met him, lol, I did a fopah and told him his dealership has idiots working there. He just laughed and said he knew. Gives you a little insight into his realm huh.

Well, I let her know again to take it to a different dealership and she says "IT IS NOT THE DEALERSHIPS FAULT! IT IS JEEPS! THEY MAKE THE PARTS!" I told her while it maybe stamped Jeep or DC it is not actually made by them or if it is I would be rather shocked. It IS the dealerships fault and she should take it to another dealership, especially after her husband told me how the front drivers door rattles after they "fixed" that one last summer. He said it sounds like they left a tool in there or didn't bolt down something, lol. What a joke.

So, no worries. She will do what she wants to. Thanks for your help everyone.
