Just thought I would pass on my little experience with them. I chose them because they gave a great deal to a fellow LOST member on the same items I wanted to buy. It involved matching a deal from 4wheelparts.com.

Had to call them on 3 separate occasions in one day and, even after they pulled the old invoice showing that they did do the deal.... they refused to match it for me. (stating that it was a mistake)

They did match the free shipping so I ordered 4 rims.

A week later I have 4 boxes on my doorstep and notice that on the outsides of the boxes they read "16X7/16X7/16X7/15X10" :x :x

So now I have 3 rims and UPS came and picked up the 4th.

Finisher: They won't send me the correct 4th rim until they get the 15x10 back :!:

That's all I got to say 'bout that

Anyone else have trouble with these guys?

I have never dealt with quadratec but it seems almost like that is par for the course from the majority of those type of web dealers. I got my tires and wheels from jcwhitney.com and they sent the first four with tires and were supposed to balance and mount the tires, They weren't balanced at all and then I ordered my spare from them too. The wheel and tire and the tire came fine but the wheel was completely wrong. So I had to send it back and ended up getting it from another dealer. They didn't refund me the original shipping costs either. Then even though I cancelled the corrected order from them to get me the right wheel, they tried to ship me one anyway and lucky for me they screwed that order up and then 3 weeks later I got a letter saying they couldn't fulfill my request that I had canceled a long time ago. ???? They just seemed like they don't have their crap together.

This really bums me out, I've used Q-tec many times in he past. All with excellent customer service, and not one issue matching competitors deals. I won't be dealing with them in the future.

It's a CYA thing. They're making sure they get their merchandise back and that it was, INDEED, incorrect.

Having been in the mail-order business...I understand why...BUT it's not what I would do personally.

I don't think this is any reason for anybody to STOP using Quadratec. They were great to me back when I had my "real" Heeps. Haven't really needed them since I've had the KJ...they don't have a fiberglass tub for it

So I got rim #4 in the mail today. Also got a tech at Wal-Mart to mount/balance them under the assumption that I was making a table out of them

And I wasn't saying that everyone should stop using them... just conveying my experience and seeing if it mirrored what others have dealt with.

It's a Wal-Mart thing... they won't mount tires that are bigger than those that came on the vehicle. I had the rims and tires in the back of the Libby and the tech asked "you putting them on that Jeep? Cuz we can't do that." Then I told him "No... I'm making a table out of them" and he went his merry way and mounted them.

Other shops like Costco have the same policy because it is a liability concern that they are deviating from spec ie. u roll you KJ and then sue them cuz they raised the OAD of the tire which puts the ABS, speedo, odo off. The max they may do is within 15% of OE spec. Tables are fine but u may need to sign something

I order a lot of stuff from 4wheelparts.com. I’ve gotten to know one or two of their sale guys and I call their individual extension whenever I get ready to buy. They always seem to remember me, give me the lowest prices, and the best shipping (hassle free). I haven’t found anything that they can’t get. Just because their website doesn’t show something, doesn’t mean they can’t get it. From my experience, by buying from one vender such as 4wheelparts.com, their database keeps track of all your spending so they are more likely to work with you. I'm always getting good deals.

So, do they have a "hassle free" shipping dept. and a "make sure you give this guy a hassle" shipping dept? If someone has a shipping issue, it is because they did it deliberately? Sorry, that just struck me as funny..... " Hey, Al, make sure we ship this guy one wrong rim, he hasn't earned the best shipping yet.... ...."

I, too, used www.NTWonline.com with good results.
