I'm trying to find the engine number on the block, but I'm having trouble locating it. I thought I'd found it yesterday but after cleaning the mud off it turned out not to be the number.

Can you please tell me the exact place to find it.

Thanks
CD

it is located on the front of engine, top left side. Under the oil cap look on the block. If you have the Haynes manual it will also show you the VIN locations on page 0-6 & 0-7
