I can never get the search function to work very well on this site so I am going to ask a question that I am sure has been answered a dozen times:

What are the specifications on the Moab rims (16X7, 16X8, etc.)?

I am running 245/70 BFG KO's right now but I am trading room and board for my niece for a new set of tires (her husband manages a tire place). He wants to know if I want to go bigger than I am running now. I have absolutely no rubbing issues with the current size and I appear to have more room to work with. I am looking at more KO's or MTR's right now. Any advice or information would be appreciated.

MOAB rims are 16x8 with 5" of BS,OEM rims are 16x7 with 5.5" of BS.With 254's I would stay with a 7" rim personally,8" rims are to wide for that narrow of a tire, heck I run 265's on a 7" rim(specified rim width for my tires also).

so what would be the smallest tire size in the Liberty range that you would use on MOAB rims?

The absolute smallest is 245/75's,but 265's and narrower tires are best mounted on a 7" rim if you plan to offroad, less likely to pop a bead when you air down and still maintain more overall tire hieght compared to the same tire mounted on a 8" rim.

Wow, really the options are wide open on sizes and tire options. It really depends on what kind of tires you want to run and how much lift or no lift are you willing to go with. Just look through a few web site for tires (discount, tire rack etc) and you will see that there are tons of options for 16" rims. I know people running 315 s on Moabs. I just run 245/75R16's on mine. Heck you could even go smaller if you really wanted.

The link I posted up above has some good information that I think is also on the site here as well. Check it out.
