has any one just had one of those couple days were you have so much going on at once you wanna flip a lid? Well its that time of the year for me :( ..... My mom replaced some new appliances and sullied my garage with her garbage so i cant work on my kj in there..... i want to remove the back seats and build some kind of storage (tools tow rope normal stuff) on the floor then level the top to fit flush with trunk.. Has any one seen this before? Pics would be great even if its just to show me how to take the seat off any thing helps gentleman which you probably already know. Thanks in advance and im going to clean the garage tomorrow take that old fridge set it up in the garage and run a new circut there for my air compressor as well.

Check the "fabrication" section.
A couple of guys modified the back seat area.

A drill and a 1/4" drill bit to drill the 2 rivets holding each of the tie-downs in place.

Drill the heads of the rivets off then pull the tie-downs up.

After you drill out the little buggers be sure to seal the holes up good so water/dust etc doesn't get in. I used a dab of silicone sealant on mine.

You'll find a lot of those rivets in the KJ. The kind you have to drill to get them out, and of course you hope you have replacements handy :) If not, go to NAPA and buy a couple of boxes.
