They probably don't have too many people in SD that are interested in an SRT8 like here I guess. Gotta drop the price if they can't move em. Here they can't hardly keep them in and so they charge more for them. That would have been a steal though. Maybe I'll flip SRT8s for a business. Buy up there and sell here. Plus I would really enjoy the drive down in the cherokee. :twisted:

for real mike im gonna stop flipping houses and start flipping the SRT-8's if it was that case. and TJKJ, buy that and ill buy the darn thing, sell i here and give you the extra 11-12,000 grand they go for here. stop it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't stand that vehicle myself. It is the antithesis of Jeep, IMHO. You should have gone out and bought a Subaru WRX STI, it would be faster, get better gas mileage, and also do better offroad! :lol:

I think, not positive, but the new STI is like .3 seconds faster in a 0-60 than the SRT8, so it is a wash really. It could also depend on wish 0-60 test you read too I bet. One will say the other is faster and another the opposite. Both very fast and very cool vehicles.

After 0-60? Yeah, I bet its the STI all the way. Even if not, if you want to turn, I wouldn't do it at those speeds in the SRT-8! Hopefully he'll try and let us know how it...handles...while tumbling.

The STI f'ing rocks in bad weather (first hand experience here), so I'm not sure where Troy's coming from on this one. AWD does wonders, I've seen a Subaru drive through some seriously deep snow that any 2WD car/truck would have never made it through (I needed my full-time). And as far as off-pavement goes, rally racing anyone? I'm pretty sure there ain't a whole lot of pavement there, and that's where Subaru made its name. Look on YouTube for offroading Subarus. It can be done, they're much more capable that you'd give them credit for.

Fast is for motorcycles, safer but less fast is for cars, and offroad and towing/hauling (all slow) is for Jeeps/trucks/older SUVs (read: at least one solid axle).

no but i have come across an '08 STI WRK. and from a dead stop to 3 tenths of a mile (little longer then 1/4 mile), i had him by 2 cars lenghts, or should i say 2 JEEP lenghts. he was an older guy and not a kid that didnt know how to drive. belonged to STI club here in MD. i just held the brake and rpms at 1800 and let her rip. darn good thing i have a driveline warranty on it.
new filter coming soon and thinking about getting FLOWS on it, but not sure. i like the way the stock sounds.

7/10 of a second in the quarter is a LOT of difference.

And they didn't compare the WK SRT8 to a supercar, they compared it to a really expensive Audi. a stock Mustang GT with 4.10 gears could run with the SRT8 in the quarter, and a stock LS1 Camaro wouldn't be far behind the Audi.

I can compare my KJ to a C6 Vette (which is faster than the R8, btw, and far more attractive too), doesn't mean either one can do what the other can do.
