sorry I dont have pics, but take a small screwdriver and pry it between the 2 peices where you can see they meet at and it should pop off and you will then have access to the bolts I believe you need either a 7mm or 8mm

Yeah, just saw that. Thanks. :D Not sure if I like the rails off either... I love the look of a roof rack, but I don't want that to impair my gas mileage. I guess I'll leave things as-is.

I run my rack all the time, of course I have it mounted down low and a big air deflector on the front. As far as mileage I have driven it with and with out and really see no difference, maybe a 1/2 gallon if that but I use it often so for me I just leave it on

If I was actually going to use a rack often, I'd probably consider it. At this point, if I put one on, it'll most likely be for cosmetic purposes... just because it looks more bad@ss than just the stock rails. I'm really having problems justifying it.

you mean you have to justify buying things for your Jeep, if it looks better then thats enough justification for me  You can always eat next week, or buy new clothes or pay the mortgage

I think mine looks better with it on, more like it should of been from the factory

I'm sure that if I come across an offer I can't refuse, I'll get one. For now, I need to still complete my under body armor. One thing at a time... or five things... yeah. I have more projects going on for it than I know what to do with right now.
