Just thinking out loud,

2" daystar with stock spring + KK strut = 4" ???

OME springs + KK strut = somewhere between 3" and 4"

Easier said then done, the CV cups are hardened steel. We tried the only machine shop that would even think about it here in Colorado Springs and after 2 hours and 3 fried bits they had barely scratched the surface of the cup.

with my current setup and the KK strut I was at 5 to 5 1/4. it was way up there, CVs were yelling to stop! plus couldn't get it out of the garage   Even with the Gen 4.5s it seemed it would need maybe the Gen 5s to compensate in that area I liked the look but there was just something I did not like the way it all came together, looking like a time bomb or something.

Plus I still go back to the fact that there is not much sense it doing it since you can not go that much bigger in tires, no lower gears etc. Seems to be doing it half a&&ed to me, either go full tilt SFA or run it at 3 to 3.5 inches

I tried it and didn't like it so someone else prove me wrong

What was the combo you used to get 5" of lift? was that just ome and the KK clevis? or did you have the top plate on?

No pics I tore it down 4 times within 8 hours trying different setups, batteries were dead in the camera and with the Liberty tore down no way to get fresh batteries.

I had at the highest point the KK clevis, OME HD springs, and my own design top plate. Would I advise anyone else to do it NO, now if you were to use say a set of stock springs and them you would get 2 inches of lift but then why not just get new springs. Or a set of CRD springs and the KK clevis for using with a heavy bumper but combining OMEs and it would be pushing it and also would need Gen 5 arms I think, plus...some other stuff.

So the OME and the kk strut, in your opinion is too high? what was that lift amount 4.5"?? I would think that with this combo and a heavy bumper you would round out to about 4". with out the heavy bumper it would be too high.

two or three posts back up I already said what I got but here again it is, I had over 5 1/4 to 5 1/2 with my combination and the KK clevis, TOO HIGH for the fifthteenth time to work right.
There is a point in which you reach that it is not feasible to go any higher due to things breaking, running at weird angles etc. With that set up I think it was at that point. IF it would of been feasible and safe to run I would of done it just to of had the highest Liberty arounf with the independent front suspension, but I would never drive it like that so end of story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a little input.. listen to these guys they know what there talking about. forget the KK Fork, I have to fully agree with Tom. I secretly have also done too many teardowns with the KK forks. they are for now Trophies on the garage wall. I say be happy with OME 3-3.5 and call it a day . Parts will last longer, anything else your KJ will Scream :( unless you decide to go SFA. Have Fun :D

That is what got me to this situation. I did not do my research, measure for myself and compare new part to old when I bought them.

Good measurements so now you have to double to get an idea of how much lift you will get from the KK clevis. So it would be just under 1.5 inches of lift.

Anybody want to sell me their KK forks?

Actually only 3/4" unless you add pass side to driver side

You will get more then that. I have the Rusty's OTT spacer which is a 2.5 lift but the actual spacer is only a little more then an inch measured.

it should be about 1 1/4" bc it will double whatever you put there

I did a 3/8" clevis lift and got just over 3/4" so I do understand this geometry. But the statment that the clevis is 1" longer is very inacurate.
