Had some pretty good storms go through my area that first hit the Chicago area tonight. Hope everyone made it through alright!

I took a ride around my town and thigs look pretty good so far. I only saw small branches down so far.

it was heavy . i went to woodmans last night during the storm, the lines there are hell. i saw a bit of damaged trees. it didnt look that bad. sounded alot worse then it was. my daughter was afraid.

240000 homes without power, lots of trees down, took an extra half hour to get to work this morning with all the downed trees.

thats was an awesome storm!

we got ~ a 1/4" of water in the basement. had a 5 gallon bucket sitting on the patio that has about 4" of water in it - it rained!

We had the sirens going off for quite awhile by me, which was kind of odd since usually the storm dissipate when they get next to the lake. This time the lake gave the storm more power. We also had a lot of limbs down. Got to use the Jeep to pull some large branches from the driveway and local streets though They were about 6-8 inches in diameter and around 15 feet long.

I miss those storms, not the humidity just the storms. My parents lost power for 18 hours. Since moving to Colorado the only time I’ve lost power is when a drunk driver ran over a transformer.
