Will plugging the MAF back in dislodge any crap in the EGR and cause it to do damage?

I'm looking to sell to the baby diesel because I can't afford two vehicles anymore. I did the ORM about 12 months back and its worked well since then. I also did the EHM at the same time. I have run ULSD for the life of the vehicle. The engine light is on all the time because of the MAF being unplugged but that engine light will probably scare off buyers.

Also what price should I be asking for it? Its a 2005 sport with 130,000 kms on it, off warranty. I was thinking $20,000 Canadian.

Thank you guys.

I can't imagine plugging it back it will cause damage when the EGR re-opens. It should be clear/clean since the MAP by a result is clean. But everyone's afraid of it failing eventually when in use.

It will probably take 3-5 restarts and drives for the cel to clear itself. It should not hurt anything to plug it back in...your EGR will just start working again as it was just before you unplugged it. Good Luck with the sale. 81,000+ miles is a bit of mileage...lol. Just make sure it is spotless and ready to go...

I wouldn't anticipate problems, because the ORM does not completely turn off the EGR - though it does diminish it's activity significantly; this from past threads here on L.O.S.T.

The SEGR, on the other hand, turns it off completely.

Yah, I could be a bit high but there are not many in the area and once they see the advantages of the diesel I can hopefully get close to that. We will see.

Well, when I plug the MAF back in it first smoked a fair bit and ran crappy. So i hopped in and revved it up for about 30 seconds and the smoke went away. I let it idle and it wouldn't idle worth crap but give it throttle and it purs. I unplugged it again and it idles great. I'm going to throw the scangage on to see what happens.

I'm also trying to remove the rear speed sensor from the top of the differential and I can't get the wire harness clip to come off. Any suggestions? I don't have the service manual with me at home so tomorrow at work I will look it up more.

EDIT: No codes when I plug the MAF back in and it runs like crap. It almost stalls when its plugged back in.
