My KJ threw a code today, P0463, indicating that the fuel level sending unit input is above acceptable voltage. I have just fewer than 50K miles. I was driving when the low fuel warning light chimed (gas tank was 7/8th full) and the gauge went down to empty.

Has anyone else run into this problem. Any insight into getting this fixed?

happened to me after a trip... however it had been playing up a little bit proir to that... ended up with a complete new fuel-pump assembly as they changed the part number or something... didn't cost me anything as it was covered under warranty.

scared the crap out of me as i was 50kms (35miles) from the nearest petrol station and the gauge went empty...

it looks like something you can replace yourself i had a good look at the manuals and felt comfortable doing it.

good luck

Did you ever fix the problem? What was the cause?
