That is what it sounds like... I don't know how long you have been here, but there was talk about fitting a kj with the clevis from the kk so as to gain a extra inch with out using conduit nuts, but i think tommud said it would not work

KJ clevis vs KK clevis and conduit nuts?  I've got a lot of reading to do.  The RK lift is easy to take off, but it looks so good! :D   Plus I've already ordered the 31's and they're due in next week! My main concern right now is that we are taking it to Kansas next month to see my nephew before he ships out to Afghanistan, if I leave it as is I shouldn't have any catastrophic failure on the way, right? :(

yeah, on the kj's, some guys have put conduit nuts above the clevis that way when it is tightened around the strut, it make the whole assembly longer. as far as Kansas, i would say drive it around and see how it feels. What size of 31 are you going to run? and what about your speedo?

The tire is a 265/70/17 which has an o.d. of 31.5" I told the guy that may be a little big, but he said we can test fit and work with the tire sizes. The speedo I hadn't worried about yet.

First welcome to the best Liberty and Jeep site bar none,
second as far as RK goes....well I have seen a lot better customer service from a porta john salesman.
The KK clevis is longer as stated above, shorter springs were used as stated above as well so yes RK did lie to you, but its all in getting you to buy a product, do you really expect the salesmen to know it all?   Just kidding yes they should
As far as driving it, I would go ahead but just watch ball joints etc as sooner or later things may fail. also check to make sure it all stays nice and tight after 500/1000 miles
I have tried a KK clevis on a KJ, someday hope to have a little more time and more springs available to test out some more options and my theory's more.

Can't wait to see some larger tires on it!

Tom

nice look it looks like what I want but does not seem like I want the possible issues that rockcrawler might have as I will do what offroading I can in this type of jeep. spacer by revtek seem to be the way to go without spenting $2500 for al's stuff

I posted this on another thread, but I looked into this at our local place http://www.ok4wd.com.

They told me they have done about 20 of these, and had 19 come back with all sorts of problems. Blown struts, CV problems, etc. I said, "So I guess you wouldn't recommend it?" He said, "Trade it in and get a KJ."

He was joking . . . not funny though. I am waiting to hear more, or maybe some other stuff will be upcoming?

I called a shop in NJ and they told me they have had sold lots and have heard nothing back ... although he stated he has not see any himself just sold them. darn those salesman knowing nothing about there product or keeping up on taps ... just sell sell sell.

I think I'm going to stick with the RK lift since it's already on the Jeep. The customer service does suck, but the actual parts I received are well built. The only reason I bought the RK lift is because I run their X-Factor steering system on my RUBICON and it's bombproof. Also, the RK lift does not lift 3.5", at least not on mine, I got 3". As far as brake lines and the ABS sensor, I had plenty of slack at full droop. I do plan on getting Al's UCA's and some bump stop extensions and hope that the CV's will not be an issue on the KK.

It is a bummer the KJ and KK lifts from RK are said to be junk because like someone said earlier, their top of the line TJ kits are really really nice.

Sure. The wheels and tires just came in today and I plan on putting them on tomorrow, so I'll try to snap some pics then.
