Got into an accident today with the Liberty. :(

I'll get some pics today, the accident took out the whole passenger side, including the front frame/crossmember.

by the looks of the inner fender, the crumple zone started to do its job. depends on how much the "frame" is bent. Don't think it will be totalled, but could be close. airbags didn't go off did they?

thank goodness you are ok.....you're fault or his?

The airbags didn't go off. I sure hope they don't total it. The blame was put on me. :x

I was actually thinking of getting the Rock Lizard Rock Monitor Bumper. Any idea when Marty will start making those.

From the pics it looks to be only about $2000-$2500 in damage. The parts are cheap, maybe $800 in parts but the rest will be labor since alot of spotwelds will need to be drilled to replace those front crossmember parts.

That is good to hear. I was afraid it would be totaled because of the frame damage. I can't get in touch with my insurance until Tuesday because of the Labor Day weekend.

The unibody is made of many pieces that are spot welded together,so you have zero frame damage since you have no frame to damage.Any one piece can be replaced.I see no major damage there, the most expensive part is the hood and they may be able to fix that small bend. Those front crossmember peices are about $75-$100 each(there should be 2 of them needed).

I too am glad to hear no one was injured in your accident. I hope you didn't admit blame. Good Luck.

If you want a up close look of the damage be my guest. I'll sent you a PM, where in Michigan are you going.

not sure never been to that side of MI but heading for Saugatuck, Holland and then up the coast from there

I am in need of a beach / lots of water fix! Live 10 minutes from Lake Erie here but not any good beaches to walk, play on, so thought we would try that side of MI and see something new!
