I saw these for XJs but was curious to see if anyone had any idea for doing something like them for the KJ. I know the KJ is stiffer than the XJ and what not but it seems like hard wheeling could eventually cause issues with the unibody.

I am working on some ......

Just took some measurements this weekend and am making templates up in cardboard trying to decide where I want them tied in, etc.

One reason I am going to try them is to keep the outside of the frame rail from compressing inward where the boulderbars mount. I am contemplating either boatsiding my rockers or making built in rockers where the rocker is cut out and then filled in w/ rectangular tubing and then tied to the "frame" rail, etc. It is a popular mod on XJ's and really strengthens the rocker area And acts as a slider too. Anyhow, I am hunting for a local wrecking yard w/ a crashed KJ that I can cut into the rockers to get some info I need for this project so it will probably be a while for the rocker project.......

Plans are drawn up and laying out in my garage. Would of been done by now but then dloc the welder went missing :? :? :?

Plans are for frame stiffener ( u shaped to cover both sides ) and sort of my take on boatsides that would attach to the frame stiffeners as well, also the new transfer case and transmission skid would attach to it as well, all tied in together for a strong sliders !

Please send or post some pics of that when you get a chance. If you don't mind that is.

When ever I get my SFA done the belly pan will have unibody stiffeners built in,encasing 3 sides of the unibody "frame rails".

Well yes but I need the belly pan first so I can measure for the brake line lengths I need.

I was actually just at the T&T/Treks shop last week, dropping off some keys to an MJ. I'm trying to talk them into using my KJ as a prototype model for their Y-Link system. Just need to get something else running while they work on it and money for all the materials, at least.

not much to see, some cardboard patterns, all measurements that I did were sent to dloc, not sure if I can find them or not, I guess I could redo them all here in the near future. We aorked on the plans for quite a while back and forth.
