The story behind THAT photo.......

Firstly it was actually Mrs Pipes driving, but we can't hold that against her. Someone said "It's easier going round by the beach" so I said "Go through there" without checking the water depth first - nor did I check the state of the bottom which was more important! The depth of the water would have been no problem by itself, but the bottom was a sand slurry rather than firm and there was no way anything would get traction through there. The first attempt to snatch out forwards, the snatch vehicle started sinking and had to be pushed out. Eventually Cmohr snatched us out backwards using two straps joined (as one should) by looping together with a rolled-up Woman's Day between them.

The use of the MaxTrax meant that our Jeep got traction as soon as it started moving which made the recovery easy - I can recommend them as part of anyone's recovery kit. And even with the Woman's Day it still took me about an hour to separate the two staps: without it they would both have been consigned to the bin!

Alright, I wanna see more camp photos - everyone gathered 'round the grille discussing the highlights of the day, a few sunset pics, that sort of thing. I've got to live vicariously thru someone and I figure you lot will do just fine

j/k, but the pics so far are just stunning and I want to see more!
