Here is what I did this week. I bought a pair of Patriot/Compass driving lights and bracket kit to install on my Liberty.
I found a pretty solid area to mount the brackets to. I bought new stainless steel bolts and washers and drilled through the bumber into a pretty solid piece of plastic underneath. I was able to put a nut and large washer under the bumper and I tightened the whole thing up.
I am pretty happy with the install.

if you dont mind me asking if you purchased those from a dealer, how much did they charge you? my dealer wants $408 and this does not include wiring or a switch

I actually have not wired them up yet. I got them at Justforjeeps.com for under $200 for lights and bracket kit. The wire kit is a bunch more and I have not bought it yet.

I think these may be the same lights they used on the TJ Wrangler. They are 6" round.

Need more lights. You should get another set or two. then wire them all up. Yeah. that sounds good. :D

Those look outstanding. I dig that, may have to steal the idea.

Since I already have driving lights I may not even hook these up right now. I really wanted to give it more of that Jeep look.
I had a old Grand Wagoneer, Wrangler and XJ Cherokee and they all had bumper mounted lights. I think Jeeps are just supposed to have them.

Thanx,

The bracket came from the Jeep dealer when I bought it.
Do some people not have a bracket with a front license plate?

In Indiana we don't need front plates. But I have specialty plate I want to use. Your bracket looks nice. Is it attached to bumper with drill holes???? I'm looking for one where I don't have to drill holes.

Jeepxk, The dealer just drilled two holes in the front bumper. Put the bare plate on and thats how it sits no brackets. It looks awful!![/quote]
