Who was at fault? Were you crossing in front of him at an intersection? Obviously he was driving too fast, and I'm glad your ok but I was just wondering.

I was thinking the same thing when I read that.

So can you share with us exactly how the accident happened?

Glad you weren't seriously hurt.

It sucks being sued over illegitimate injuries. I'd never do that to another human being. I was on the receiving end of a similar situation...I never imagined what it was like being sued. it SUCKS!

Glad you're OK...but, I can totally agree on the beating part.

Sorry to hear about your accident but good that you are OK. That looks like definite write off. If your adjuster wants to rebuild it, I would have serious concerns. Was the Lexus damaged badly or driver hurt?

That looks like a really bad hit.

the other driver wasent injured in anyway. but i'm not to concerned about him. as far as the accident goes... i was making a legal left turn from a left turn lane looked down the road saw a truck but it was far enough away to make a safe turn. was almost on the other side of the road when the speeding lexus came flying down the road swerved around the slower moving truck and found me on the other side. if he had been doing the speed limit he wouldnt even have came close to me. the last thing i remember before he hit me was the reving sound from his engine. he didnt try to stop or avoid me. it was weird, almost like i was stuck in time and couldnt move while i watched this car hit me. it was like time slowed down for me but sped up for him. i'm still trying to figure out why he didnt stay in the other lane where he would have missed me even going as fast as he was. but i also dont know if he was paying attention or not. he could have been on his phone or looked down at the radio for all i know. he could have even been looking at the construction on the other side of the street at the mall. we'll never know, but i'm alive with no serious injuries and the jeep can be replaced, so i'm going to try and not let it bother me that much or ruin my life. :)

left turns from left turn lanes are always trouble - specially after an arrow (if the stop light actually has one)
Numerous times it has happened to me....
I'm waiting till it goes yellow, look, then start turning, and the mad man coming from the opposite direction goes even faster to beat the same yellow light.... and BAM!

So...... I don't make left turns anymore.....

glad you are ok

I remember seeing once on one of the network news programs that all cars made afer 2003 now have "blackboxes" and store 6-10 seconds of info & then re-records, and in the event of accident it has info on the car that inlcudes how fast car was going, rpm's braking & steering( if erratic) how loud radio was & if seatbelts were being worn. The info was used by insurance companies in court. Hope it is still a reality & is something that can help. Looked at pics again glad to hear you didnt have kids in car. take it easy.

By your account of the accident the only thing the other driver was doing was speeding recklessly to get around the truck, and in the split seconds when it registered that you were there, he made another stupid mistake by hitting you. When you make decisions such as he did, you'e not changing radio stations, lighting cigarettes or checking out anything along the roadside.

But as we've said, all that matters is, you're okay.

Glad to here you're okay ! From your description I had the identical same thing happen to me about ten years ago, but I was in my 1970 Plymouth Roadrunner that I had spent the past 4 years building. I feel ya bro. Everyone told me the same thing, " it's only a car" , but we all know better don't we!
