I'm in need of some new tires (my original wranglers are giving me some trouble in the wet roads now) and I can't afford a lift atm. I'm wondering what are some of the roughest looking tires I can put on my stock KJ. It's my DD, but I don't mind road noise, so long as I don't lose effectiveness on the road.

Thanks in advance.

just pick something in a 245-70X16 whatever you can find to be the meanest looking I guess

I was in the same boat just over a year ago. I settled on the General Grabber AT2's. Not a Mud Tire by any means but still a very aggressive looking tire for an AT. Performance has been great in all conditions that I drive in regularly. Here are some pics in the 245/70 size on my unlifted '07 Sport. I should add that the only rubbing I get is very slight and only when in full lock while reversing.

take a look at the Fuzion XTi's more of an AT tire but still look cool with the flames on the sidewall. 8)

x2 on the grabber AT2's. Not as aggressive as the MT/R's i had but the gas mileage went up 1-2mpg's. Less noise than the mt/r's but the grabbers still look good.
