Anybody ever replace the hinges for the rear flipper glass? Mine are corroded BADLY. Luckily, the corrosion hasn't spread to the body metal yet. I'd like to pull out the old units before it does. Being in the salt belt here in CNY I know I'm on borrowed time...

Where might I find those outside of the dealer? :?

wholesalemopar.com

just looked them up, but It wont give me a direct link to give you.

The left one is 18.96 and the right is 19.38

I have no idea why they are different prices. but when u go to their site click on parts catalog, then fill out the vehicle fields and then on the left side menu click the catagory "liftgate" then "lift glass" and that will show you everything you need!

Give these guys a call. They don't have them on their website but, they sell pretty much any Jeep/Mopar/Chrysler part. http://www.wyckoffchryslerparts.com/

One has wiring for the defroster, most likely.

On my '02 the defroster wiring is in no way part of the hinges. They are excactly alike with just being left and right side specific is all.

Now that I think about it, I think mine has a separate wire for the defroster, as well. I'm seeing 33.72 for each of the hinges on that wholesalemopar site, anyway. really LONG link

Yeah my defroster wires come out of the vents next to the rear dome light and go right to the connectors on the glass. Anyway, thanks for the info guys.

I had to right-click the link that took me to the page I posted above. Can you try that, so we can see what the diff is?
