Are these the right part numbers for an 02 KJ?

Skid Plate-Fuel Tank --------------- L82206122 (2002-2007)
Engine/Suspension ----------------- L82209026 (02 - 06)
Transfer Case ---------------------- L82208421 (02-03?)
Transmission ----------------------- L82210003 (05)

Also will the transfer case skid from an 05 fit my 02 liberty? (Transfer Case -L82209455 (04 - 07))

I checked my receipt from May 08 when I bought all four from the local Chrysler dealer. I do not have descriptions for them, only numbers and prices. Here goes;

82210769 $107.00
82210003 $54.30
82206122 $136.00
82209455 $81.24

I am 95% sure the transfer skid will fit your 02, I was told by the parts guy that the skids are now for all KJ years. I do not believe the bolt pattern changed. The engine skid has changed slightly to incorporate the KK bolt pattern. It now fits KJ all years and KKs. The installation hardware and nutzert tool are included with the skid plates.

I ordered some from here - reasonable prices and shipping
http://partsformyjeep.com/MC-BFEI-CIC.aspx

The 05+ plates should fit an 02 - with an extra hole dripped somewhere (I think tranny skid)
- the 02's were thicker, stronger - but they've been discontinued and superseded by the new style.

It might be cheaper to go to the dealership and buy them. This is what I paid for mine.

82206122 $99.60
82209455 $42.00
82210769 $66.00
82210003 $42.00

icarl, from your location, you say Peace Country. Is that in British Columbia? If so, you may want to stay with a Canadian dealer for the fuel tank skid. The shipping into the interior for that may be expensive.

You may want to check into the customs handling charges to get the rest of the skids as well. I have brought a few things in from the US and FedEx, UPS and DHL all charged me almost 50% of the cost of the item in customs clearance. One item was almost 100%.

thanks. The reason i'm asking is because i went to my dealer and they said they could get all but the transfer case skid for the 02. So i was wondering if i could use a transfer skid from an 05. I just want to go there and say here are the part numbers. order them. i'd rather buy new because it comes with all the nuts and directions and stuff. I don't need heavy duty skid plates like the more expensive ones. There's not a lot of rock crawling places around here so i just need to protect mostly my transfer case and stuff from branches and forest stuff.

I was 95% sure, but now I am starting to wonder. The parts guy said that the skid plates fit all years now. That may mean that for 02s the transfer case skid needs a hole drilled in the frame, or in the transfer case skid plate. Just a guess, but the transmission is different for the 02, which might have changed the location of the transfer case slightly. Which hole does not line up jsc7002?
