i have an 02 with the 45RFE, i was going to get a B&M or another good brand of tranny cooler. would it be worth it to get one even though i already have the radiator built in one? how would i do it, cap off the radiator part and justrun the lines into the aftermarket cooler? i looked and see where the rubber lines turn into hardlines then go into the radiator. i was going to put it up and down on the passenger side, opposite side of the PS cooler

the only thing i ever really plan on towing is a small popup camper, or even a regular 8-10' regular walk in camper from like the 80's that i saw for sale lol
If you want to add a AUX cooler you will want to keep the in-radiator cooler.Find the return line(the one that goes back to the tranny) by running the engine for about 5 mins then shut off and feel both cooler lines, the hotter one is the fed line and the cooler one is the return line. You will cut that return line and extend one side of it to the AUX cooler, the other side of the AUX cooler will go back to the other half of the return tranny line

Pulling many types of campers requires the 7-plug. Even the small ones. I pulled a Casita to Moaband it required the 7-plug. How did you like the Casita? How much did it weigh? How did the KJ pull with it? Did you have an equalizer hitch? Sorry for some many questions, but I'm about to buy a travel trailer and was curious........................................

Yeah, so why is that Troy? Why the no camping thing anyway? Just curious.

I am curious as well. I know a guy that pulled a Casita with a TJ but I always thought that was crazy. My wife likes the Casita and one may be in the future although the KJ would have to pull it. One dealership I talked to about buying a Casita said they would sell it to me but didn't think it was a good idea to pull it with the Libby.

I disagree, the KJ can pull the Casita behind the KJ without major concerns................................ Click on the link below to see what I'm planning to tow, I'm sure it will be heavier than the Casita.

Actually spent to many years in the military and all those "feild exercises" ruined camping,oh and those 24 months in the sand pits didn't help either.

I am sort of the same way as Troy, will never pull anything bigger than my 6 X10 enclosed or the 6 X8 flat bed I have, no campers etc. If I want to camp that bad , thats what the motorhome is for

I'll chime in on the connector debate. I have three trailers that I, 99.8% of the time, will pull with my Tahoe.
1. 5x8 utility, 2. 6.5x16' flatbed, 3. 19' Trailmanor camper that weighs 2500# dry/3300 loaded.
I personally wire in both types of connectors, flat 4 for the utility and 7 blade for the camper. I built a conversion from my 7 blade RV to feed the 6 round on the flatbed. While I may never pull any of the trailers with the Libby, I want the ability too. I'm getting ready to install the hitch in next few weeks, then I will do the wiring if I can figure it all out, I'm too cheap to buy the harness, I'll just hard wire. I may even throw the brake controller on it ...just incase.
