WOW , do you live like 40 miles in the sticks and they had to find you or what? So did you get used to not having any and just told them to remove the pole and meter completely now. Its Amish time on the farm!

Ike rolled through Dayton and didn't drop more than a few sprinkles on us, but the 75 mph winds took out soooo many trees that we were "camping" in the house for 9 days. Now we really have no interest in taking the camper out.... but at least I have enough wood for the next few years!)

Moose & I live in neighboring communities. Although we are not "in the 'hood" we are not exactly in the sticks, either.

My neighborhood has no above ground wires or poles. Everything is underground. Yet we had no power, phones, cable for 10 days...... Hmmmm......LOL

I wonder if my wife would let me trade her Towwn & Country for one of those buggies????
