I installed the Rusty's 2.5 suspension lift about one year ago it looks like the front is about a half inch lower than the rear I think the front springs are starting to sag I have the stock bumper and have not wheeled it hard. Have other people had this same problem? Will the clevis lift correct this? Thanks for your input I am real glad I have this site as a resource there are so many good people in here.
Thanks, Sean

yes it is very common for the Rustys springs to sag
a clevis lift will make up for the loss but only for a while

I would start saving for some OME med. or heavy springs for the front
We have med. springs on our KJ and after 2 years and 25K only lost maybe at best .5" but it was the same front to rear so no funny rake ,also we lost that .5" in the first 5K not the last 5K

My rusty's lift has been on for about a year and a half. The front was sagging 1inch at to start of summer, now it's a inch and a half. ome's 927's will be ordered next week. Seems like it changed my alinment.

you are correct about it changing the alignment, esp. with that much sag, most people do not think of that and get tire wear and blame it on something else

Do the Rusty's and OME medium fronts have the same spring rate? Can you mix front and rear spring rates on a vehicle without screwing up the ride? I ask because I'm thinking of changing to this lift setup:
FRONT: OME mediums
REAR: stock springs + existing 2" Daystar spacers

My KJ has just under 70K miles and my guys at Midas are finally recommending new shocks. I want to go with Ranch RSX and plan to change the front springs when the struts are replaced. The Daystar kit has served me well for nearly two years, but I liked the steering better without front spacers.

Rustys springs have the same spring rate as stock 350 lbs, Medium OMEs have a spring rate of 375 lbs and heavy duty 400 lbs, you can run say mediums in the rear and heavy dutys in the front no problems. If you want to stay near stock heighth I would go with the Mediums give you about 1.5 inches maybe or a little more with a small clevis, you will like the Ranchos they do a great job

I had rusty's springs for about a year, sagged about an inch. I also had the clevis and strut plate to compensate but still wasn't high enough. I have since swapped over to OME hd's which i should of bought in the first place. The rusty's rode nice but i think my HD's ride even better.

My Rustys has been on for about a year now. No sagging yet, but the rear shocks (rustys) are totally junked. Leaked all out, and had no more rebound @ all. Replaced them with Rancho RSX and 10x better ride now !! Figured no point in sending them back to Rustys for warranty, just get the same junk back. :x
