Well I can't tell for sure from the pictures you posted, but I'm going to guess that you lifted your KK???

Edit: I take that back... you have me stumped.

Nice, how does that affect turn signal brightness though?

i just popped out the taillights cleaned them up and used VHT night shade 3 coats followed by 2 heavy coats of Crystal Clear Coat. For the 3rd brake light, I had to leave it on and just remove the screws. Place news paper under it and spray them. I couldnt / didnt want to remove the hose attached cause i thought it would be hard to put back on lol.

yep I love the VHT night shade spray. I've done it to every vehicle I've owned except the KK. Just did it to my Baja Bug matter of fact. You know what you need to complete the look? Remove all the emblems. I did that the first day I got it. Fishing line, a heat gun and some goof off and my jeep is smooth and emblem free. Even the chrome "JEEP" on the license plate light doe-hicky cover can come off leaving a smooth "JEEP" on the otherwise textured plastic.... it looks really cool. Only the trail rated badge remains to have to wax around.... :?

Looks great, I'm considering tinting mine just a little bit. My red KK actually matches the tail lights as is, dark black wouldn't look good on my color.
