Cheaper CO2 set-up

Lowes would probably be better than Home Depot. Ace hardware?
Harbor Ffreight (for cheap components).

When you buy a coil hose be sure to get a bigger diameter hose if you plan on running air tools. the regular 20' coil hose you can get is fine for intermittent light duty use or for inflating tires and things. But for any real air tool I wouldn't reccomend it.

I tried using an impact wrench that was hooked to a coil hose then hooked to my regular air hose. It ran pretty weak and wouldn't do much. As soon as I hooked it directly to my regular air hose it worked just great!

You results may vary.

Before you posted, I had already bought a larger hose, but for a different reason than what you suggested. Although, I didn’t realize that power tools may be less efficient with a smaller hose..........................thanks for the information! From my research, I learned that the smaller coil type hoses are typically made from light weight polyurethane. In cold climates, the coils can lose their elasticity and become brittle to the point of cracking. For this reason, I bought the non-coil type and a thicker-walled hose. I also got a swivel attachment for the tire chuck. Now I just need to find some C02!

Use to run a compressor, once I went to co2 and Nitrogen will never go back, Run nitrogen in the KJ and 10lb co2 in the TJ, I maybe changing to a York comp in the TJ as soon as its done.

mines still sitting in the garage waiting for someone to buy the needed parts :roll:

I have been cleaning out my second garage need to push

the TJ in there, Il let you know if I find anything, I read in you other post you sill need a regulator?

Sadly here in Las Vegas, the gas places I have called will only replace your cylinder, not refill it. Not sure how it is elsewhere but it is something to think about before you get your tanks all prettied up.

There's got to be somewhere that they're sending all their traded in bottles to get filled....Unless CO2 tanks grow wild where you live.

I had the same problem here in Ft Lauderdale. I found a place to fill my Power Tank only after posting an inquirey on the local Jeep forum. It costs $15 to fill a 10lb bottle here.

They initially told me that they trade bottles too, but after I 'splained to them what I needed, I was told I could only get'r done on WED since that's the day they fill tanks. I had to drop off in the AM and pick up at the end of the day.

There are many other places to get your CO2 bottles filled besides welding places.Check with any place that refills paintball gun bottles,refills fire extingishers(spelling?),and any Coke or Pepsi distributer.

Coke and Pepsi distributors in most states don't supply gas for beverages. But there are a lot beverage gas companies around. One thing that I haven't heard anybody talk about is using an inverted 50lb tank with a tank-to-tank adapter as a "mother" tank to refill the smaller tanks. Once you purchase the adapter you could refill a 10lb tank for about $5.
