How can you tell if you have the correct gears or not?

I called Reider Racing and said I need 4.10 gears for the front of the Jeep Liberty and I got them today but the box says 30D/410T Dana 30-410 Ring and Pinion Jeep TJ

who all makes 4.10 gears for the front?

You got the wrong ones, you needed to tell them you needed gears for the D30A or FIA186mm.Dana/Spicer makes the correct gears along with Precision gears. You need to be very specific about the D30A gears and what you ask for.

I've heard that Precision made gears for the D30a, but don't know anyone that actually has them.

    Yes always takes you back for a moment when you call somewhere about Liberty parts and the person on the other end knows what you want, most are like "Now thats for what model Jeep...a Liberty...mmmm let me see if we have anything for that model"

Your right, I went to West Coast Differentials this morning to order ARB's front and rear and for them to install and they were like "We've never had anyone request that before where are you taking a Liberty that you would need lockers" and I was all " the same place my 06' Rubi T.J. goes ANYWHERE"

Not writing anything down. If I need to know anything specific I will just come here and ask Troy or TOM (didn't leave you out this time, Big Fella!)

Hey, I know you were just having fun last time. We all do it here from time to time. I agree though about all the info that is shared here. I never knew I could learn so much about a vehicle in such a short time. 8)

I work for Precision Gear. Not sure who you talked to, but Precision Gear dosn't manufacture a 410 gear for the libby 30. We can only get the Dana gear, Part # 84006-5. Curently Dana has them on backorder.

So Precision only resells Dana/Spicer 4.10's for the D30A as there own then  ,they just went to the bottom of my list for good place to get gears.

thanx cuz my jeep is currently on the rack and getting lockers(what I meant to write here was "it's on the rack getting limited slips) installed at west coast diff's. and yeah jimmy called to let me know what you just posted. i'm bummed. but i'll upgrade gears later is all. some of the folks on here insist certain things that are not true. I knew this to be, precision only happened to have a few on their shelf right? now they are sold out.

Now Ken, remember those aren't lockers, only limited slip diffs. Wouldn't want people to get confused and mislead them.
