The packaging was a dead giveaway, but I wasn't gonna spoil the surprise. :) Just out of curiosity, was the mounting system already tucked into the bumper like that when you opened the package? I only ask cuz when I bought mine the package I got was missing the mounting system. I eventually got one sent from ARB, but I was curious to know how it's normally packaged, if the mounting system is wrapped up with the bumper or what.

The mounting system was zip tied to the bumper itself. There were 2 zip ties total which I cut last night to try and get it to balance a little better. I could mentally see my wife walking past it and it attacking her foot. That would not be a good thing....a little funny but not good.

One thing that cracked me up is the delivery driver. Long story short they brought a semi without a tommy lift to a residence then complained about having to unload it, then dropped it twice and finally didn't put it where he was asked to. I was not there my wife was and she was not a happy camper. The best part was the driver complaining like an old lady about how heavy it was and then when he refused to move it to the garage my wife pushed it and said..."YOU were complaining about THIS? This is nothing." I should also add that they guy had a dolly but it was a collapsible mini dolly, lol. The story goes on but that is the gist of it.

Tonight some more pics :)

Actually it only cost me...$62.87 I think it was. Now before you all start jumping on me about the price, the reason it cost that much is because I got it as a Christmas Present :D I bought my wife a laptop and she got me the bumper. I thought it sounded fair. When she paid for it they told her one price and she paid through paypal then I got a notice saying the messed up on shipping so I paid the extra.

I want to install it tonight but near the end of my day at work I nearly collapsed. I am not sure what happened but I was walking down the hall and next thing I know I grabbed the wall and nearly fell on my rear. I was super dizzy and very hot. I downed a bottle of water and ate a little, I was not hungry or anything so not sure what got me. I took it easy the last 30 min of work drank another bottle of water and crawled on home. Now just taking it easy for the night. Wife says I got too excited about my bumper :D I hope she is right, left me a bit worried. First time something like that has happened. I will keep you posted and will do all I can to install the bumper tomorrow.

Wow, hope you are okay. I think your wife was probably right, I blame everything on stress. I did that once in school. I was young though, and the jerk 0ff docs never did tell me what it was, they just gave my parents some pills, and said take these, and come back in a week.
I should ask them about that one day.

I figured it was an ARB (by Tom knowing what it was just by the package ;) ) but, just wanted to see all the guesses. Hope you're ok, though.

No Diabetic issues to date. No other symptoms or anything like that...just a freak thing. Work has been a lot more stressful lately and I did a ton yesterday so I am leaning towards the stress factor. I am a facility manager for a law firm, we have 2 offices that I manage along with 3 additional properties.

Good news is, today I feel pretty darn good, taking it easy and planning the great bumper install tonight. I already told my wife to have her keys ready so I can move hers out of the garage for a few hours :)

ISSUES!

ok so the first few steps go without a hitch...I will admit that it took me a little while to figure out the darn clasps for the bumper to fender area though. I get the bumper off and go to install the cross member when I run into a snag....
Image
The holes on the cross member do not line up with the holes in the jeep. This is right behind where the crush cans were. Now I know some of you are thinking, lift the cross member over the lip and that should take care of it...well, it is over the lips but still no dice. The Drivers side line up perfectly, just the passenger side is messed up.
I was thinking, WTF, I have only had a couple of small issues where people have hit me, one a guy clipped my mirror, the other a woman ran into my drivers side rim and just in front of that. All in all no damage but a few scrapes. Now when I was in Colorado I did hit a rather large pot hole on my way to Mission Wolf and cracked my radiator...could that have knocked it out of wack this little bit?
What do you all suggest?? My KJ is naked! LOL. I was debating just drilling out the holes, especially since as you can see in the pic it is not much, maybe 1/8" max.
Let me know ASAP as I am going to work on it and get it done in the morning...I hope :)
Here are a few other pics...

Oh and on a last note, I did check to see if there was any ripple where the cross member gets bolted on and did not see anything. I did tap down a few spots that were just a tad high but still no go.
Thanks in advance.

OK
is it off the same amount on both sides or can you get the bolts in one side and not the other? You want to make sure that is centered of course for the bumper to mount right. I would try to center it and then drill/enlarge the holes to make it align. I can see but kind of fuzzy so not sure , do you have a pic of the piece sitting there where it should go but back just a bit, sort of showing the whole front

thinking............................

I had the DS (drivers Side) bolts in and loose. The PS I was trying to get one and it would not align. I then took out the DS bolts to test it and still no dice. I also tried moving it side to side but it did not seem to help...or at least not much if any.
