usuall meeting point is Perkins memorial dr to the tower trail
bear moutain state park.
easy to get to from the palisades heading north. exit 19 and follow the signs to the trail gate.
We pretty much meet at the bottom then go up as a group. (AS LONG AS IT IS OPEN) last year it was closed due to weather

I only live about 15 miles north of our meeting place.

Previous years everyone buys a toy or 2 for around $20-$30 or so, give or take. Try to get something for a decent age range. I usually figure on the 4 - 8 year old age range or so. I usually buy a set of cars (larger than matchbox size of course) or a stuffed animal. I usually have good luck at Kay Bee as they have a whole range of inexpensive stuff so I usually get 2 items for that price 1 boy, 1 girl item.
