NMD is the manufacturer. I replaced the drivers side one and I'm still hearing the noise. I guess it IS the front drive shaft. I didn't realize my front drive shaft had CV joints in there too. Whatever happened to U-Joints. I should've bought a Wrangler. My front driveshaft is expensive. I'm going to have to see if my extended warranty will cover it. Let's hope.

got mine from raxles.com works great! much better than that pos advance auto parts reman junk. when i went to take it back the 2 creatures that appeared to be females working behind the counter tried telling me it wasnt their axle and then i must have installed it wrong. they finally agreed to refund my money before i flipped out. idiots at that store near me. i guess thats what i get for trying to be cheap.

Well I've now replaced both half-shafts. Didn't need to but I'm glad I did. I feel pretty dumb now since the rear of my front drive shaft has an obvious little tear in the metal flange. It caused all of the grease in the joint to spin out in a nice 360 pattern. Brought it to the dealer and now I'm waiting on my front drive shaft to get here. It sucks not being able to put my jeep in 4WD.

Same place where mine was ripped and it seems like most others who have had front ds problems.

And no 4 wheel drive blows. Going to suck riding in the passenger seat on the beach this weekend.
