no you wouldnt lose any when I did my OME HD lift I gained 3" and I have a prelowered but that doesnt affect my lift any, just get the OME HD coils and an extra rear iso or two (I only did one) and a slight clevis (I did 3 rings)

I have a 2.5" spacer lift on my 2002 pre-lowered KJ... this puts me around 3-3.5" taller than the stock 03-07 KJ's out there. If, in time, I were to take out the spacer lift, and put in your typical OME lift or one of the various Frankenlift options, would I be losing that 'extra inch' that I have because my KJ is pre-lowered?

I got to thinking about this after looking at some pictures of my KJ (silver) sitting next to 03kjsport's 2003 KJ at a local event this summer. In the picture, I have the 2.5" spacer lift installed. His is the 4" JBA. But yet we look very close in height.

I fully intend to upgrade the type/quality of lift sometime in the future, but I'm concerned about losing a bit of height from what I currently run. :?

Although I've read a lot of the lift threads here, I'm still a bit green on this subject and I've never seen it addressed. Thoughts?

If you swapped you would be the same height as everyone else with an OME lift. Your spacer helps you over others because your springs are already taller giving you more clearance with the spacer. I'm willing to bet you would lose some height if you just put in OME's but if you use a clevis lift and the iso pads as jsc suggested I'm sure you'd stay right around where you are.

Lets see yours is an 02 so although you maybe taller from the factory you have no doubt lost some of that over the last 6 years, so with going to OMEs small clevis etc then you should be right there close as others have stated. I know what the 4 inch measures in at and I know I am about 3/4 to 7/8 of an inch below him with the setup I have. So don't be afraid that you are losing, the heighth will still be about the same and the ride will be 20 times better

I have the 02 pre-lowered and when i put the franky on i gained about 3.5". So you will not lose anything with the franky. Other lowered KJs are getting 4-5" from it.
