Its ironic how a lot of KJ owners are actually ditching or have already ditched their spare tire and relocated it elsewhere and we kk owners have thought (I know I have) on relocating it where the KJ originally has it =)
But im going to keep it that way.... unless you want to give your KK the BAJA look I think were ok in there
;)

there is a slight differece though we KJ owners move it bc its too much weight to be on the tailgate like that, least I took mine off bc I didnt want my 31" mt tire hanging on it and making it sag

that rear one that attaches to the hitch is awesome... I'd buy that if I had a big tire to hang.

That hitch mounted one is pretty sweet. I would love to see one on a KK if anyone can photoshop it? :D

Take away too much departure angle.

losing some of my departure angle wouldnt bother me that much but having to swing it out just to open the rear tailgate is annoying to me, I hated to have to open my tire carrier just so I could open the glass flipper, I would vote for putting the tire in a roof basket

Roof basket for function

Tire carrier for looks !

I do think that the KK would look tough with the tire mounted on the back like that.
