And now..... :x 5. Brakes squeal when I come to a stop. Never has done it before now.
6. When it rains I get a leak down the center of the back window on the inside. Haven't even taken it through a car wash yet, but I've heard
that the skyslider roof leaks and corporate says it's not meant to be taken thru hi-pressure car washes...  I've always
had cars with sunroofs and gone through car washes with NEVER a leaking problem. Sounds like a design issue that they are not willing
admit or address
My passenger side seat frame assembly came in and I will be having that replaced next Friday. I'm quite unhappy right now with all these things going on with it, and I hope this is not an omen of things to come. I'm starting to question my purchase of this car.

I have had mine for six months and 15000mi and i have not experienced any thing like this. One thing that needs to be done is I need the hand brake to be tightened because it doesnt brake enough to even hold on the slightest hill. other than that i am very happy with my purchase.

As far as the leaking skyslider,or any sunroof or convertible top, they are only ment to be effective for "NORMAL" atmospheric pressure only, and that would be any water pressure under 22psi and excludes tornado's and hurricane force winds/rain.I had that battle with a customer a few years ago and I won when I worked at the dealership,it's not a design flaw either since all auto companies have the same policy.

I agree with you.I have had several problems with my 08 Liberty and told the dealer that Chrysler vehicles are getting worse.I'm not happy either, but you seem to have more problems then what you should have.I heard there are problems with the skyslider, and Chrysler is lost what to do.There is a TSB for your leaking rear hatch so that should get fixed.Good Luck and I hope you can get all your problems fixed.

Thanks... :| I'm hoping I can get all these things fixed and I can go on with my life with the car. I'm not wanting to take the car in every month or so for minor "problems". If it continues I'll simply bite the bullet (be upside down in trade equity), and buy something that is built alot better. The seal around the skyslider seems to be the pits. And Chrysler doesn't want to deal with it! Really good PR :? :? What kind of problems have you had with yours????

I have had absolutely no problems with my skyslider, and sounds like your leaking issue could be with your rear hatch and not the skyslider.

So far, so good. After 8200 miles in 7 months. I lost the rear wiper assembly inside the shell which was replaced immediately by the dealer as a design flaw. I am still putting my truck through the automatic car wash (Delta Sonic) at least every two weeks ( my daughters gave me booklet of washes) and so far no leaks from sunroof or rear window. :D Knock on wood, hopefully it will stay that way. Going to dealer for the next oil change (I go to the dealer every other oil change since I have the bumper to bumper lifetime warranty) and check on the A/C TSB I have read about here. No problems, but still want to check.

The first day I bought my KK,the right front door lock didn't work.I took it on the highway and the Liberty was shaking bad.The tires were balanced about 5 times. Then the dealer told me the tires were not round.I had to replace all 4 tires.I had the TSB done for the A/C.The right front door panel was warped, still waiting for the part to come in.My alignment was off,it took about 4 complaints before they did the alignment.Right front passenger seat had padding missing,so they had to take the seat to get repaired.Poor quality all around.I had a 03 Mazda Tribute before this Liberty, and didn't have to go one time for repairs in the 5 years I had it.I have my fingers crossed for no more problems.

silverfox, you got to stay away from automatic car washes with the skyslider. The slider is made out of canvass and high pressure washes will cause it to leak and lead to a shorter life span. Canvass is a great top material but you got to take care of it. I had a canvass top on my Mazdaspeed Miata and it would leak in high pressure washes. Just the nature of the material.

  And now #7: when applying the brakes I get a clicking sound and feel to the brake pedal
I really do love my NEW Jeep and it's really discouraging to have so many "things" not right with it. I know you would all feel the same way if it was yours.
I'm going to be nice when I go with all these "things" on my list. I'll get nowhere if I'm downright MAD (like I really feel!) with them. But, if they don't fix these things to my satisfaction I WILL take it further. Not sure what route to go with it if I need to, and maybe some of you on the board would have some suggestions on that. But, first I'm going to give them the opportunity to make these things right. This car was almost $30,000 with everything I got on it and I expect better quality then what it's been so far. Geez....the day I bought it I made them re-adjust the driver side door because it was off kilter!!!!!
Maybe that should have been a sign

Touch wood, no real problems with our KK.

- To me the biggest annoyance is when we start the Jeep for the first time that day. A lot of the time it will have this really, really loud fan noise. I used to think maybe it was just something I was hearing in the vehicle, but the other day my wife was in the garage, started the Jeep and either hadn't moved it or hadn't moved it more than 15' out of the garage and there was this really loud fan noise. It sounded like a fan (or two) were going crazy under the hood. It sounded like an airboat, the kind people use in swamps. I've waited several minutes in the driveway with no change - it doesn't go away until I've driven a few blocks. Oh, and during that time (until the noise goes away) I have noticeably lower acceleration.

Any thoughts on what that might be?

- We've had a few issues with the MyGig (the worst being issues with phones not always being recognized, and one drive we didn't have any sound whatsoever - no nav and no music (satellite, CD, radio, HDD). For the most part I'm just chalking it up to new technology glitches, and thankfully update patches are coming out regularly to address issues.

So all in all we're happy with our KK. I hope they get your problems addressed soon.

I really love the skyslider. I always hand wash my cars, except in the winter  IF the skyslider does leak under carwash conditions I can always carry a towel with me and take care of it. I personally have not taken it through a car wash yet. I've hand washed it, and there's been no leaking from that. Even knowing all of that about the skyslider, I would still have gotten one with it. It's all of the other problems, combined, that are annoying me, and each time I find one more it just adds to the mix!!!!!

I hope your problems get resolved ASAP... Ive been a jeep owner since always.... my first jeep was a 1985 CJ7, 1998 Wrangler, 2001 Cherokee sport... and Ive been happy =)

Now I bought a silver liberty with every single possible option added (34,430 OUCH) and I hope all of their issues are solved since I would expect that from a car priced that high (compared to FJ's and the like)
anyhow I guess Ill just wait

Hey silver fox!
I was browsing some other forum and found out an introductory post from you and you stated that your KK was the one featured on this commercial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTLcZ1BCmms

How do you know that your KK is the actual kk from the ad????
did the sticker stated it?
Was it cheaper or expensive to get such vehicle?
How many miles did it had?
Sorry for asking but I always wondered what did the company do with those cars featured on their ads!!!

I bought the car from a salesman friend...he and I have been friends for quite awhile. I bought it at the Jeep dealership near me. My car came from Michigan, and yes it was the one used in the Jeep commercial. When I was looking for a new car, I had looked at my Jeep, and also some other brands, but kept coming back to the Jeep. This Jeep was discounted from the $31,000+ things it has in it. I got a good deal on it and made my decision. It had 1700 miles on it at the time I bought it. Now, if I can just get these pesky things fixed I'll be happy again!!!!!!
