So I get my winch in today, faster than expected, and when I look at the box I notice that one side is taped versus being stapled shut. There are staples there but they are not holding it shut. I cut the tape to find out that the remote, roller fairlead and most of the hardware is missing! This is a M8000 winch from Quadratec too. I was floored. Perhaps these are all signs...then again if I look at it like my Father In Law does you just keep on pushing till you get it right and make them pay for it  So, tomorrow I will be on the phone with them and see what I can do. Has anyone else had issues with them before? I would like to blame this one on Tom but this one will be...Hood :) since he has the same winch :) Just messing with you man.
I will post pics once it is installed and I have all the parts.

If you actually signed for the package from the shipper you should have not acepted it that way,but if you did not sign for it and it was just there when you got home you can do something about it though the shipper would be the one responseable and good luck with that.

Pretty much what tjkj said. Some suppliers are pretty easy to work with, though since they can make a claim with the shipper a lot easier than the receiver. Start making phone calls and see what happens.

Luckily no one signed for it, it was just sitting outside my front door when I cam home. So I am sure it will fall onto the shipping company. Or at least it should.

I ordered my front bumper from Quadratec. They tried to screw me on the shipping. I called, ripped the guy a new one, and shipping was free. Don't let them push you around. They probably shipped you a returned unit.

sounds like somebody used your unit to get replacement parts for another customer. Get them to make it right or take it back.

Well this morning I called while driving to work and talked to a guy named Randy. He seemed pretty cool and we laughed about the whole thing. He told me I need to give him the part numbers and he will get me the parts I need. I told him, I can make that easy...I have the winch and the line along with the control box. Everything else is missing. He said, "Doh, that sucks!" I told him I didnt have the part number with me so he gave me his direct extension and I am going to call him tomorrow morning again on my drive in. I am leaning towards having them replace the whole darn thing but we will see. As for the price, I got it as a present but I know it was roughly $650-680 with shipping...that is where they get you.

Got it as a present, man I want to join your family/ friends who ever is buying you all of this! You are one lucky guy!

Well except for the bumper not fitting right, winch only half there but hey you still are lucky. My wife bought a tire cover for me cause she liked it, said if I wanted anything else, I had my own money so buy it!

Man, at 4wd.com you can get the Warn M8000 for a lot less.

http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?partID=40006

Add it to your cart and it gives you the discount.
I'd send it back and save the $130 bucks.

DOH! If I sent it back though I think I would have to pay for shipping and that was almost the difference. It is something to think about though...definitely.

As for my friends and family the bumper was because I bought my wife a high end laptop, the winch was a combination from a few people that all pitched in. I said it is easier for them to order it versus me returning a bunch of things I do not want or need and buying it myself, lol. They understood cause they do the same thing. Next year presents will be back to normal.

See if Quadratec will price match the competition. It's the least they could do for you, considering.

Just an FYI: If a delivery Company just leaves a package at your door and noone signs for the package, you are not held responsible for the contents. As a matter of fact you can call the company and say you never received it, or it was left on my doorstep and someone vandilized it. Dont wait do it now :D

I forgot to post that i called them and while they would not match the price they would send me out a completely new system and pay for the partial to be shipped back so I was pretty happy with that. Let's wait and see, it should be in either tomorrow or Tuesday.

Now I just have to figure out what to do about the rubbing...just when I think something will take care of it I am wrong. Still have the tires rub the sway bar and the wheel well cover near the washer fluid.

What are my option? New rims and/or spidertrax? Anything else? Oh and Mike I found a set of Moabs with GoodYear MT in Glendale for $275. Now to figure out how to get out there and get them :D For whatever reason there is never anything good on CL here in Vegas...or so it would seem.
