I was out of town for a few weeks and my wife thought it would be nice to get oil, lube and filter done for me so I could relax when I got home. She took it to the local lube shop which has a great reputation in the area. As it turns out...they used 10/30 rather than 5/20. My dealer happened to see it on the window sticker. I'm not a happy camper. It was a nice gesture by my wife, but it is gonna cost me time in the end anyway.

I would be making sure I wold take it back and they would be putting in correct oil and NEW filter free of charge!!!!! You could run that, but they made the mistake.

Double ditto. Especially with winter coming and the 10w being thicker....

I've had dealerships put in the wrong oil too.
Just bet is to do it yourself - if you can't then at least talk to the tech doing the work

(and read labels - if the can says 10-30 and you know it should be 5-20 say something)

10w-30 is ok to use in the 3.7. I use 10w-30 in the summer and 5w-30 in the winter.

5w-20 is just to try and get more mpg out of it.
